This beautiful brooch is signed ART and has a really great look. Besides a multitude of colorful rhinestones adorning the large flower, the Japanning really makes it stand out! Japanning in vintage jewelry refers to pieces where the frame is enameled or painted in a heavy black coat. Normally- I am not really impressed by vintage jewelry that has been Japanned- however the combination of rhinestones and the dark setting on this piece really makes the rhinestones pop!
